It's All in the Details

A handbuilding workshop with Marla Benton. SOLD OUT!

When: April 20; 10am to 4pm

This full day workshop will look into creating patterned details. Whether the details are in the gesture of the piece or the textures: we will explore lots of possibilities! Handbuilding construction techniques and surface design will be the focus for demonstrations and discussion. Participants will be guided to focus on creating some smaller pieces to explore and play with the techniques demonstrated. No experience necessary.

Paper Extravaganza

with Sara Burgess

Through cutting, folding, weaving and collage, we will learn about paper's strength and versatility. Over the two days we will create a variety of book forms and objects to showcase these techniques. You'll head home with some lovely objects and a passion for paper.

Paper and tools provided. Bring your own cutting mat, and if you'd like to explore your own paper.

Pysanky Egg Decoration

Ukrainian Easter egg decoration: This 3 hour introductory class will give you a hands on experience in this ancient wax resist method. All materials are provided and you will leave with at least 2 decorated eggs of your own to treasure.
